Introduction

T. Najmuddin & Co is one of the oldest and the most renowned trading houses in Mumbai established in the year 1925 -at a time when only tongas used to ply in Mumbai and Lohar Chawl used to be washed by water every morning. The founder late Fidahussain Abdulkader Khokhar was a great visionery and he with his far sightedness established a trading house for buiders hardware and furniture fittings in Lohar Chawl

The buyers included englishmen and indian - architects, carpenters and nawabs. During that time there were no sales counters or chairs for customers to sit as there used to be a gaddi where fidahussain khokhar used to sit and sell nails, khutis and handles.

Gradually times started changing and T. Najmuddin & Co. adepted and moved ahead with the times. The late 70's and 80's can be considered as the peak and boom time of Lohar Chawl and it is said that when the showrooms in Lohar Chawl would open up at 9 a.m there used to be a que of customers standing out and waiting for their chance. The trading pattern has now in the 2000's changed into more of an service industry and we now cater to a lot of turnkey projects in and around Mumbai and all over India. Our clients include multi national project building industries, leading architects and contractors, govt and semi govt organistaions, interior designers and so on.

Curently Shaikh Nuruddin Fidahusain Zakir the youngest son of Fidahussain Abdulqader Khokhar is the CEO of T. Najmuddin & Co. By the doa mubarak of the 52nd Dai-al-Mutlaq Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb(TUS), T. Najmuddin & Co. is one of the most popular showrooms of Mumbai for builders hardware and architectural fittings. We now mainly specialise also in display stands and systems used for display of garments and cater to mainly boutiques and stores in shopping malls etc.
